You should start treatment at your doctor’s clinic. Your doctor and device support specialist from Zai Lab will teach you how to use the device, replace transducer arrays, recharge and replace batteries, and plug in the device.4
4 transducer arrays should be used at one time – 2 with a white connection end, and 2 with black connection ends. This must be done every time you change your arrays.4
Hair growth will prevent good contact between the transducer arrays and your scalp, so your scalp should be shaved each time before you apply a new set of transducer arrays.4
The transducer arrays are for single use. Used transducer arrays can be disposed in your household trash. Change transducer arrays at least 2 times per week – every 4 days at most.4
Connect each of the 4 transducer array connectors with black and white connection ends to the matching sockets on the connection cable. Press firmly to be sure the connectors are in all the way.4
4 rechargeable batteries are included with the OPTUNE GIO Treatment Kit. The batteries slide into the device and should be inserted until you hear a ‘click’ indicating the battery is in place.4
Replace the battery each time it runs out, and if you plan to be away from home for more than 2 hours, carry extra batteries or a power supply.4
More information can be found in the OPTUNE GIO User Manual.
You should keep OPTUNE GIO on as much as possible, when awake and when sleeping.4
Both the electric field generator and the battery fit in a carrying bag.4
Do not place the device in a different bag, as OPTUNE GIO has a fan on the inside that needs air flow.4
